What you get back

  1. One likely recurring signal. The mark, subject, or question your work keeps returning to — usually something you have not consciously chosen.
  2. One tension worth investigating. The place where two impulses in your work pull against each other. Tensions are where projects come from.
  3. One small next experiment. Something you can actually make this week, small enough to finish and defined enough to learn from.
  4. One honest recommendation. Which pathway would genuinely help — or none, if you are already on your way.

How it works

  1. Gather five to twenty pieces of recent work, roughly oldest to newest. Sketchbook pages count. Unfinished work counts. Do not curate for quality.
  2. Send them through the scanner. It reads across the set rather than judging any single piece.
  3. Read the four answers and run the experiment. The experiment matters more than the reading.

What the Signal Scan will not do

  • It will not generate artwork, images, or marks of any kind.
  • It will not score, rank, or grade you.
  • It will not promise an admission outcome or a grade.
  • It will not use your uploads to generate images or to train models.
